INVITATION SAMPLE SET

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

GENERAL

DO YOU HAVE A RETAIL LOCATION?
Design Truly is an online Stationery Boutique. We do not have a retail location or studio that is open to the public.

ORDERING

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED?
You will be charged at the time of purchase, prior to any customization work.

CAN I PLACE MY ORDER OVER THE PHONE?
All orders must be placed online.

WHERE CAN I FIND PRICING?
Pricing can be found on the order form located on our website under the "wedding invitations" tab on the main menu. The final price will depend on the selections you make while completing the online order form, where you will select your paper choice and add-on options. As you select items, you will see a running total at the bottom of the page. Once you have made all of your selections, you can submit your order, and you will be directed to the invoice to make payment and finalize your order details.

If you have any questions, or if you're looking for something you don't see on our website, you're always more than welcome to contact us, and we'll be happy to help!

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH AN INVITATION SUITE?
Each of our Semi-Custom Invitation Suites include 4 pieces (invitation + envelope, response card + envelope). Paper type, ink color(s) and wording are customizable. The envelopes will match the paper choice you select for your stationery order (white/ivory). You will have the option to upgrade to colored envelopes and select from several add-on options as you complete our online order form.

CAN I ORDER MORE INVITATIONS AT A LATER DATE?
You will have the chance to increase your final invitation quantity prior to approving your order for print. While you are able to order more invitations later, this will be significantly more expensive than ordering extras up front. This is because each print run incurs preparation time and setup costs, regardless of the amount of stationery ordered. Any stationery ordered after print approval will be separate and minimum order requirements will apply.

Depending on the size of your event, we highly recommend ordering at least 10-15 extras up front. When deciding on your final quantity, be sure to account for last minute guests, wrong addresses, keepsakes, and a set for your photographer to photograph.

CUSTOMIZATION, PRINTING AND MATERIALS

ARE INVITATIONS CUSTOMIZABLE?
All of our stationery is semi-custom. You will be able to select your paper choice and choose from several add-on options to build your invitation suite. Wording is completely customizable. Text, borders, paper bands (wraps), envelope liners, and many graphics can be customized with any of our ink color options. Minor layout adjustments can be made during the revision rounds.

WILL THE COLOR ON THE STATIONERY MATCH THE COLOR ON MY COMPUTER SCREEN?
Because all monitors display color differently, your printed stationery may not match exactly what you see on your screen. Colors on the digital proofs are an approximation only.

If you are concerned about colors, we highly recommend ordering a sample set, which includes a color chart. The final prints will match our color chart. Please note, color consistency in digital printing across different print runs and different printers is not guaranteed, due to the nature of digital printing. We do not accept returns based on color for this reason.

WHAT TYPES OF PAPER DO YOU OFFER?
Design Truly offers designer papers and card stocks in single ply #120, double ply #240, and torn edge cotton. You will have the color choice of white or ivory with each stock option.

WHAT PRINTING OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER?
We offer digital printing, foil stamping, and letterpress. See below for an overview of each printing process. Our online pricing is for digital printing. If you would like to upgrade to foil stamping or letterpress, please let us know and we'll provide you with a custom quote.

DIGITAL PRINTING
Digital printing is a high quality, full-color, budget friendly option that provides a clean crisp look and feel.

FOIL STAMPING
Foil Stamping is an eye-catching print process that applies metallic foil with the use of heat and copper plates. This process will add depth and drama to you design. The result is similar to letterpress. You can feel the impression in the paper. Rather than matte ink, the design is pressed into the paper with shiny metallic foil.

LETTERPRESS

Letterpress is one of the most beautiful and oldest forms of printing. It is a technique of relief printing using a vintage printing press, resulting in deep impressions for a beautiful, embossed look. You can feel the indentation when you run your fingers over the printed portion.

PROOFING PROCESS

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PROOFING PROCESS?

The proofing process includes three rounds of proofs; the first round is based off of the wording and colors submitted in your order and the remaining two rounds are for revisions.

You will work one-on-one with a designer.  During the revision rounds, wording changes, color changes, and minor layout adjustments can be made.

Change requests beyond the three complimentary revision rounds are invoiced at $25 per round.

You will receive Digital Proofs for your review, so that all changes can be made prior to being printed.

ASSEMBLY

DOES STATIONERY ARRIVE ASSEMBLED?

Assembly is not included but can be added to your order.

If the assembly option was not added to your order, all stationery pieces will ship flat and require assembly. If ribbon is ordered, it will be shipped on spools and will need to be cut down for use.

If the assembly option was added to your order and is outlined on your paid invoice, we will assemble your invitation components for you. If you purchase our ribbon, assembly will include cutting and tying the ribbon. Assembly includes stuffing and sealing the envelopes.

All stationery will ship to you directly. You will be responsible for purchasing and applying postage and shipping invitations to your guests.

POSTAGE AND MAILING

HOW MUCH POSTAGE IS REQUIRED TO MAIL INVITATIONS?
Invitation weight ranges depending on the type of card stock used and the number of pieces included in the suite. We highly recommend taking an assembled invitation to the post office to have it weighed prior to purchasing and applying postage.

Please note, double thick stationery stock and invitations tied with ribbon or other embellishments will require additional postage.

DO YOU OFFER MAILING SERVICES?
Design Truly does not offer mailing services.  All stationery orders will ship to you directly.  You will be responsible for purchasing and applying postage and shipping the invitations to your guests.

PRINTABLE FILES

DO YOU OFFER PRINTABLE FILES?
In order to preserve the integrity of our stationery designs and our high-quality product standards, we do not sell digital versions of our stationery designs in part or whole - we only sell finished stationery products.

SHIPPING

WHAT ARE YOUR DOMESTIC SHIPPING OPTIONS?
Our shipping options within the US are, Standard Shipping (5-7 days estimated transit time), Two Day Shipping and One Day Shipping. These estimates are for shipping only and do not include production time.

DO YOU SHIP TO OTHER COUNTRIES?
Yes, Design Truly ships to most countries! We love working with engaged couples from all around the world!

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

CAN I CANCEL MY CUSTOM STATIONERY ORDER BEFORE IT PRINTS?
Yes. If you're not satisfied with your design after three edit rounds, you may request cancellation within 7 days of receiving your final proof before approving it for print. At that point, your order will be cancelled, and you will be refunded, less a $250 design fee for semi-custom orders.

I APPROVED MY ORDER FOR PRINT, CAN I STILL CANCEL?
Once your order is approved for print, it immediately goes into production and cannot be changed, canceled, returned, or refunded.

CAN I RETURN OR EXCHANGE MY CUSTOM STATIONERY?
Custom stationery is uniquely designed and printed for you and cannot be returned, exchanged or refunded.

If there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 14 days. We’re committed to providing beautiful stationery and will be happy to work with you if you’re unhappy for any reason.

WHAT IF THERE IS A TYPO ON MY STATIONERY?
During the proofing process the client is responsible for reviewing for any errors. Your stationery will be printed exactly as shown on the proofs you approve. Design Truly is not responsible for additional costs incurred for re-prints due to errors approved by the client. Should you find an error on your stationery, please contact us. We do offer a discount on reprints for customer approved errors.

Please note that we cannot accept returns or process refunds due to errors on approved proofs. While we do our best to catch any errors during the proofing process, final proof approval is ultimately the responsibility of the client.

If your printed stationery does not match your approved proof, please contact us immediately and we will reprint those specific stationery pieces free of charge.
